We Will Not Go Down (Song for Gaza)

A blinding flash of white lightLit up the sky over Gaza tonightPeople running for coverNot knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planesWith ravaging fiery flamesAnd nothing remainsJust a voice rising up in the smoky haze
We will not go downIn the night, without a fightYou can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schoolsBut our spirit will never dieWe will not go downIn Gaza tonight
Women and children alikeMurdered and massacred night after nightWhile the so-called leaders of countries afarDebated on who’s wrong or right
But their powerless words were in vainAnd the bombs fell down like acid rainBut through the tears and the blood and the painYou can still hear that voice through the smoky haze
We will not go downIn the night, without a fightYou can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schoolsBut our spirit will never dieWe will not go downIn Gaza tonight

This song was written and sang by Michael Heart on January, 2009. It was posted on YouTube and originally made available as a free mp3 download. He didn't intent to do that. He just wrote that lyrics based on what happened in Gaza. He wanted to tell the world that there's injustice and terrible things incident in Gaza. He said that it wasn't about religion, it's about humanity. It's purely made to express the rights of the victims that wanted to be free. He wrote the song as the way to express his feeling about injustice while others protested on the street.

I really love this song. It's really touching and tearful. It tells the world about what happened in Gaza. It could make a whole world realized that there's something happened in Palestine. This song makes people do something to help the victims in Gaza.

Education to Build a Better Future for All

Maybe most of Indonesia's student still asking the same question year by year. We're always complaining and asking, "Why does we have to study more than ten subjects every year? Does it useful for our daily life or even our future?"
In fact, we all need this.

If someone asks us a question about our future, we'll certainly answer about our tremendous hopes. But how could we reach it if we didn't get any education at all? Education isn't all about physics, mathematics, or any other subjects. It is also about character building. We may could study from books or internet. But we can't get an education of character from.  What's intelligent use for if we don't have an attitude?

We're too much complaining about our assignment, homeworks, teachers, or everything about school. But have we ever think about how could we do our life without school? Maybe we couldn't buy anything because we can't count. Maybe we couldn't know the consequence of throw the unorganic rubbish anywhere. Even if we know the consequence, some of us still throw the rubbish anywhere. Or maybe we couldn't know how our body's work and what's good for our health. A lot of things can't we know if we don't have an education.

Without education, we're nothing. We just damaged ourselves, our family, our country, and our earth if
we don't have any education. We won't become what we wanna be without education. How could our country getting better if we don't have an education? Maybe our country will be full of criminals, mindless, and uneducated people without education.

It is all back to ourselves. If we used our education wisely, it'll make us be a better person and help us reach our future dreams. But if we think education is useless, it will be useless. Many of genius people in Indonesia use their intelligence for some criminal things. For example, corruption. That's one of misapproptiation intelligence. So, we have to use our education appropriately in order that our education won't meaningless.

Let's start from now. Stop complaining or mocking about our curriculum and education. We have to fight and workhard. We don't know what will happen in ten or fifteen years to go. Let's build our future! Our efforts won't betray our future😊

The Amazing Structure

Hi, everyone! At this moment, I'm gonna tell you something about one of the amazing structure in the world. Even though it isn't well-known and it's not included in seven wonders of the world, it still looks amazing for me. It is Sacsayhuaman. I haven't been there, but it makes me amazed at the first time I saw the picture. I haven't been there, but it makes me amazed at the first time I saw the picture.

Sacsayhuaman is a citadel on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, Peru, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. According to natives, the meaning of Sacsayhuaman is "House of the Sun". It is believed that this splendid archeologist complex or fortress was built by Killke people in the era between 900-1200 AD before the domination of Inca Empire.

Sacsayhuaman features three dry stone walls made of large rocks that were extracted from a quarry located more than three kilometers away from the fortress, with the biggest of these rocks measuring about 120 tons. The Inca used similar construction techniques in building Sacsayhuaman as they used on all their stonework, albeit on a far more massive scale. They were dragged by rope to the construction site, a feat that at times required hundreds of men. The ropes were so impressive that they warranted mention by Diego de Trujilo as he inspected a room filled with building materials. The stones were shaped into their final form at the building site and then laid in place. The work, while supervised by Inca architects, was largely carried out by groups of individuals fulfilling their labor obligation to the state. In this system of myta or "turn" labor, each village or ethnic group provided a certain number of individuals to participate in such public works project.

They are three parallel walls built in different levels with lime-stones of enormous sizes. Zigzagging walls are made of boulders used for the first or lower levels are the biggest: there is one that 8.5 m high(28 ft.) and weight about 140 metric tons. Those boulders classify the walls as being of cyclopean or megalithic architecture.
There are no other walls like these. They are different from Stonehenge, different from the Pyramids of the Egyptians and the Maya, different from any of the other ancient monolithic stone-works. Scientists are not certain how these huge stones were transported and processed to fit so perfectly that no blade of grass or steel can slide between them. There is no mortar. The stones often join in complex and irregular surfaces that would appear to be a nightmare for the stonemason.

Now, Peruvians celebrate Inti Raymi, the annual Inca festival of the winter solstice and new year. It is held near Sacsayhuaman on 24 June. Another important festival is Warachikuy, held annually on the third Sunday of September. Some people from Cusco use the large field within the walls of the complex for jogging, ta'i chi, and other athletic activities.

That's all about Sacsayhuaman. I hope someday i will go to Peru and visit this amazing structure, Aamiin. Thank you for reading!

My Last Holiday

There's nothing special on my last holiday. I just stayed at home and did my daily activities. But Imm happy because I didn't get short semester(SP) in any subject. I almost got an SP on mathematics, physics, and additional english. Luckily, I didn't get an SP. So, I could spend my holiday happily.

On December 28th 2015, I met my junior high school's friends at Wale. Wale is located in Dago, Bandung. We gathered in my junior high school, SMP Darul Hikam. But some of my friends went there by theirself without gathering with us first. We went together from SMP Darul Hikam to Wale by my friend's car. We went there at around 12.30 pm (after dzuhur). Before we arrived there, we had to fetch one of my friend at her house She lives in Cigadung, it is quite near from Wale.

After arrived in Wale, we took a seat there. Wale is such a great restaurant. It has a good view and a cold temperature because it is located in the highlands. I was so excited to met my old friends. Because we rarely met after graduation. Now we're busy with our school so we couldn't meet except when it is holiday. I really miss them. We talked a lot there.

Wale's food is very delicious. It is well-known because of its meatballs. I ate sweet noodle and meatball or it's usually called "Yamin". And for the drink, i drank lemon tea. We were going home at around four a clock. I was so happy on that day.

After that day, I just did my daily routines at home. I watched televesion, played handphone, listened to music, ate, took a shower, played with my sister, etc. I just did those activities all day long on my holiday.

On Thursday until Saturday (7-9 January), i had to go to school because there was a practice for angklung performance on January 13th 2016 at Selasar Sunaryo. We played three songs when practiced. They were "Carmen", "Mengejar Matahari", and "Don't Stop Believing. But Carmen is a song for concert. KPA 3(Keluarga Paduan Angklung) will held a concert on April.

That's all about my holiday. I didn't go out from Bandung like any other people. But I'm pretty happy because I could take a rest from my stressness in school.
Thank you for reading!

My School Life

Previously, I have posted a story about my previous school. And now I'm gonna tell you a story about my current school! As you can see on my first post, I am a student of SMAN 3 Bandung. First of all, I'm so glad to be a part of SMAN 3 Bandung. I didn't expect that i could study in this school.

However, after nearly 4 months i've been studying here, I'm getting stress now hahaha. Homeworks always come and it's like never stop flowing. It is okay if it was easy. But in fact, i have to think hard and it took many hours to complete it. Moreover, sometimes i don't finish my homework. Besides homework, another thing that makes me stress is the test. Yes, the test. The test was a thousand times more difficult than exercises. Especially physics and mathematics. It wasn't strange anymore to get a very bad score on physics and mathematics test.
To overcome all of my stress, I attend some extracurricular. SMAN 3 Bandung has a variety of extracurricular. There are approximately 30 extracurricular owned by SMAN 3 Bandung. And all of those extracurricular was fantastic. At first, i attend three extracurricular. They are PMR 3(Palang Merah Remaja 3), KPA 3(Keluarga Paduan Angklung 3), and DKM(Dewan Keluarga Masjid) Al-Furqan. PMR is one of the compulsary extracurricular. However, I resigned from PMR 3 after 3 months because i didn't feel suitable with it. I didn't feel happy or enthusiastic in every PMR 3's gathering.
My second extracurricular is DKM Al-Furqan. The reason why i chose DKM is to become a better person. On Saturday, 17th October 2015 there was the first meeting of DKM. I was so lazy to came there at first, because I was so tired on that day. The meeting also wasn't running on time. I had waited there for a long time but it started late. I almost fell asleep there. But finally, the first meeting held. On the meeting, our senior told us the stories about DKM. All of those stories were really interesting and inspiring. One of the stories is, there was a very bad boy who changed due to join with DKM. I didn't regret to attend the first gathering of DKM. It wasn't useless to wait for it. And it makes me want to always attend the meetings of DKM.
And my last extracurricular is KPA 3. The reason why i chose KPA 3 as my extracurricular is because KPA 3's performances are always spectacular. KPA 3's performances made me realize that a traditional music instruments could make an impressive music ornaments like any other modern and classic instruments. One week after DKM's gathering, there was KPA's first meeting. Same as the first meeting of DKM, i was lazy as well to attend KPA's first meeting(i always lazy every Saturday heheheh). On the meeting, we were introduced to the activities of KPA, we played games, and the last, we played angklung together!! A song that we played there is When I'm Gone(Cup Song). I felt really pleased on that day.

That's all about my school life, Thank you!

My Previous School

Hi, everyone! At this moment, i would like to tell you about my previous school. My previous school is SMP Darul Hikam Bandung.

Darul hikam is located at Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 285, Bandung. Behind SMP Darul Hikam, there is SD Darul Hikam building. It is not a big school, but it is comfortable. My junior high school has only two floors. On the first floor, there are 7 classes, administration room, student advisor room, conseling room, principal's room, canteen, and toilet. On the second floor, there are 7 classes too, teacher's room, and computer lab. Because of the small school, the library and the science laboratory are located in SD Darul Hikam building.
The picture above is one of the classroom in SMP Darul Hikam. It is much smaller than my class in senior high school. Because of the small class, the noise from our class can be heard by the other class. There are about 24 until 26 students in one class. Even though it isn't a large class, it is very comfortable. Every year, we had to decorate our classroom. At first, we were very lazy to do that. But in the end, our class became more beautiful because of the decoration.

And then, that picture is the place where we usually use to ceremony. It is a small field. Every morning, we do the morning ceremony before we go to our class. Near the student advisor room, there is fingerprint absent. It is used for absent.
Actually, there's one more field. It's a sport field. The sport field locates in different are from the school, it's quite far from the school so that we had to walk far enough from the school. We used to be tired before the sport subject began because we had to walk far way.

The last, the picture above is the mosque. It is located beside SMP Darul Hikam. This mosque is large. It has 2 floors. We went to the mosque at Zuhur and Ashar time for praying. But when i was at the 9th grade, we were told by the teacher to pray in the class. Even though we finished school at 3 a clock, we were obligated to pray ashar together at school. We were prohibited to go home before pray ashar.

Well, that's all about my previous school. I can't describe how much i miss this school. This school has given me too many memories that i won't forget.
